Seafood, Glorious Seafood

Crayfish, whitebait, mussells, clams, blah blah - what else could a man ask for?
Just did a round-trip to Kaikoura
where we got 5 crayfishes & 200gm of whitebait - yum yum. Just consumed
2 of them tonight. Mumsy is down & she made whitebait fritters (a NZ
tradition!) and also cooked the crayfish in a special cream sauce - it was
divine. When we were in Kaikoura we went to a restaurant called Pipi's &
had an award-winning seafood chowder (it won best food item at the Kaikoura Seafest), and I definitely
concur that it was a vundabar spread. Also had a pot of steamed
mussels/clams/pipis - pure heaven.
We bought our crayfish from a place called Nin's Bin - about 20mins north of Kaikoura. Not bad quality crayfish & also averagely priced. All-in-all a day all seafood lovers (including myself) will not want to forget.

Karaoke Anyone?
Filed Under:
Entertaining for hours and hours and hours.
Just got back from a barbi with friends and there I
found the most enjoyable, fun device I have ever seen in my whole life. It
was a PS2 game
that basically is karaoke but it also tests you to see if you are singing in
tune. You can go head-to-head with a friend and whoever is the most in tune
wins. For someone like myself who has a passion for singing this game was
heaven!

The Bestest Drink in the Whole Wide World
Filed Under:
Well on a par with coffee anyway.
I just bought a bottle (500ml) of Ribena concentrate last night and
reminded myself how much I love this drink. According to the label, 100% of
the blackcurrant berries that are used in New Zealand Ribena are from the
South Island - good on ya southies :) I think I was pretty much weaned on
the stuff when I was a baby (according to Mumsy), which probably explains my
attachment to it now. Funnily enough, though, I found an alternative brand
of Blackcurrant juice called
Barkers which I actually like more than Ribena & it is a southern company too.
Anyways, there are many ways to have blackcurrant juice, but my favourite is hot. You should try it some time!

That movie was word!

The movie 'Shark Tale' had a real homie, hip-hop flavour to it.
Went and watched Shark Tale tonight
with some friends and I really enjoyed it.
It seemed like the film directors wanted to give it a real homeboy-type flavour to the movie, and for that reason Will Smith was cast well as the main character - Oscar. I'd give it a 8/10 for viewing pleasure and it did put a 'smile on my dial'.
Also, I've just put a photo album on this website with some picies of our Chihuahua puppy - Chocolat. Check it out and be jealous :)
